Dr. Annette Ermshar

Clinical, Forensic, and Neuropsychologist

Dr. Ermshar is a clinical psychologist with 14 years of post-licensed experience conducting psychotherapy and assessment with children, adolescents, and adults. She has added specialization in neuropsychology, psycholegal/forensic consultations and assessment, and clinical/diagnostic psychological assessment and evaluation, having completed hundreds of assessments of clients during her practice.  Dr. Ermshar has served as an expert witness in numerous court cases within Federal Court, California Superior Courts, and California Juvenile Courts. She was also a professor at numerous undergraduate and graduate universities, including Associate Professor at Alliant International University, California School of Forensic Studies and was the Training Director of Clerkship/Practicum for over 10 years at Patton State Hospital where she  trained over 100 doctoral level psychologists. Dr. Ermshar is on medical staff at Las Encinas Hospital (a private psychiatric hospital) in Pasadena, where she has the ability to see clients who need inpatient psychiatric services.  Dr. Ermshar was selected by her peers as a Top Doctor Pasadena Magazine in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.

Dr. Adrienne Meier

Licensed Psychologist
Clinical Associate

Adrienne Meier, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY27471) with specialization in clinical, forensic, and neuropsychology. She has extensive experience working with children (aged 5 and older), adolescents, and adults, providing treatment and conducting assessments. Dr. Meier completed an APA Accredited Pre-Doctoral Internship at New York University’s Bellevue Hospital Center, where she received specialized training in clinical and forensic psychology. Dr. Meier then completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at City of Hope Medical Center, where she received specialized training in neuropsychology and researched the effects of cancer treatment on cognitive functioning. She has served as an expert witness in numerous court cases within the California Superior Courts addressing psycholegal questions related to competence to stand trial, sexual offenses, risk assessment, grave disability, immigration, and neuropsychological functioning. Finally, she currently serves on the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association board as the Local Advocacy Network (LAN) chair and is a member of the American Psychology-Law Society (APLS) Professional Development of Women committee. She is also registered by the National Register as a Health Service Psychologist and volunteers for the Soldier’s Project as well as Physicians for Human Rights.

Professional Bio

Carol Davis, M.S.

Graduate Psychology Student Assistant

Carol A. Davis graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Cal Poly Pomona, and earned an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from University of La Verne. She is now a doctoral candidate at University of La Verne in the Clinical-Community Psychology Psy.D. graduate program (APA Accredited). Her clinical training has focused on high risk populations primarily in correctional settings, and she has utilized treatments such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and relaxation techniques among patients. Among her graduate clinical training sites were the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Parole Outpatient Clinic, and Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center Partial Hospitalization Program. Her focused areas of interest include trauma, substance use disorders, criminal behaviors, and positive psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) Twin Towers Correctional Facility. Ms. Davis is now currently a graduate student assistant for Dr. Ermshar at Specialized Psychological Services.

Carter Hasbrook

Graduate Psychology Assistant/MFT-Intern

Carter Hasbrook graduated cum laude from Rollins College with a B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy. He then went on to recently receive his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from University of the West and is on track to obtain his license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT). Carter’s education and clinical training has focused on mindfulness-based approaches such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He completed his first practicum at Long Beach Family Services and is currently operating as an MFT Intern gaining hours towards licensure. 

Kiersten Vance

Practice Manager

Kiersten graduated from Pacific Union College in 2011. She has been working with Dr. Ermshar as the Practice Manager since March 2014. Kiersten manages all billing and marketing for the practice. Please direct any billing related questions/inquires to her.
