
Dr. Annette Ermshar
Clinical, Forensic, and Neuropsychologist
Dr. Ermshar is a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of post-licensed experience conducting psychotherapy and assessment with children, adolescents, and adults. She has added specialization in neuropsychology, psycholegal/forensic consultations and assessment, and clinical/diagnostic psychological assessment and evaluation, having completed hundreds of assessments of clients during her practice. Dr. Ermshar has served as an expert witness in well over 100 court cases within Federal Court, California Superior Courts, and California Juvenile Courts addressing psycholegal questions pertaining to syndrome evidence, memory, mental state and mens rea, psychiatric diagnostic issues, neurodevelopment, grave disability, competence to participate in trial, risk assessment, neuropsychological functioning, and 1001.36 mental health evaluations, to name a few. She was also a professor at numerous undergraduate and graduate universities, including Associate Professor at Alliant International University, California School of Forensic Studies and was the Training Director of Clerkship/Practicum for over 10 years at Patton State Hospital where she has trained over 120 doctoral level psychologists. Dr. Ermshar is currently on medical staff at Las Encinas Hospital (a private psychiatric hospital) in Pasadena, where she has the ability to see clients who need inpatient psychiatric services. Dr. Ermshar is an author with numerous publications and was selected by her peers as a Top Doctor published in Pasadena Magazine for many consecutive years. She is registered by the National Register as a Health Service Psychologist and has also given numerous invited addresses on the topics of the mental and physical health benefits of generosity, women’s mental health, and optimizing brain health.

Dr. Kim Freeman
Clinical and Pediatric Psychologist
Clinical Associate
Dr. Kimberly Freeman is a Licensed Psychologist with over 13 years of post-licensed experience in working with high-risk infants and children. Her primary area of expertise includes infant development assessments aimed at promoting parent-child attachment, identification of developmental delays, and facilitation of early intervention. Additional areas of specialization include neurodevelopmental evaluations and psychotherapy for children and adolescents presenting with complex behavioral problems, self-harm, and/or trauma. Dr. Freeman is also a Professor at Loma Linda University where she teaches and supervises graduate students. Her current areas of research include examining the effectiveness of using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for adolescents who engage in non-suicidal self-harm and developing sustainable child interventions and prevention strategies that are effective and culturally sensitive. Dr. Freeman serves on the Loma Linda University International Behavioral Health Trauma Team and has conducted numerous presentations and trainings on how to intervene and promote optimal development in high-risk children from a global perspective. She is a strong advocate for promoting resiliency and wellness in all children by providing a trusting and supportive environment where children can reach their full potential.

Maris Tyler
Clinical Assistant/Doctoral Student
Maris Tyler is currently a doctoral student at California School of Professional Psychology. She is working on her PsyD, and is interested in working with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences. Maris is working at a community mental health nonprofit where she gives individual and couples therapy, and has presented community-focused programs at nearby elementary schools. Her research interest focuses on offspring of parents with severe mental health disorders as well as LGBTQIA+ populations. She has graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor in English and is working to complete a doctorate in clinical psychology. Outside of academics, Maris enjoys nature-centered activities, such as hiking, biking, and roller skating.

Charlotte Sohl
Director of Executive Support Services
Charlotte Sohl is a recent graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she earned her degree in Psychology. She also has added specialization in behavior modification with children, having completed an extra certification as a registered behavior technician. On a personal level, Charlotte has held leadership positions with the Delta Delta Delta sorority and has many years of volunteer experience through National Charity League as well as two Humanitarian trips to Malawi, Africa and Seattle, Washington. In her free time, Charlotte is an avid cook and skier.

Bridget Baier
Executive Support Coordinator
Bridget Baier is a recent graduate of New York University, where she earned a degree in Drama at Tisch School of the Arts. For her senior thesis, she created a 35-minute play called “Oh, Brother” that explores the complexities of group psychotherapy and the deep connections that form, despite the rules against friendships and relationships. She is pursuing graduate school with a focus in child psychology. Her interest includes combining her artistic background with innovative psychotherapeutic approaches to support and empower the mental health needs of children . In her free time, Bridget loves to watch rom-coms and enjoys playing with her three dogs: Saoirse, Holder, and Percy.

Peggy Wolff
Business Manager
Peggy has a decade of corporate experience across multiple organizational functions, including finance, controlling, human resources, IT, legal. She also spent over a decade in non-profit foundations in the US and India after on the ground Tsunami relief work.
Peggy has managed large corporate budgets with excellent ability to stay on target and mitigate deviations. She is meticulous at tracking expenses and actual cost to budget and understands that small businesses need a trained and experienced finance person to fill that role and is passionate about helping Dr Ermshar & Associates succeed. Furthermore, she brings a proven ability to communicate directly, clearly and persuasively, reflecting an appropriate sense of diplomacy and urgency to all levels and all people within an organization.
On the academic side, Peggy has been an Erasmus scholar and recipient of scholarships to pursue graduate education in Boston, Paris and Stuttgart and has lived and worked in Detroit, Los Angeles, Geneva, Indonesia and India. She is fluent in English, French and German, loves the arts, an intense tennis match, open water swimming, Alpine skiing, motorcycling, and a good laugh.
