Dr. Ermshar is pleased to announce that Carol Davis, M.S. has joined Dr. Ermshar, Specialized Psychological Services. Carol A. Davis graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Cal Poly Pomona, and earned an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from University of La Verne. She is now a doctoral candidate at University of La Verne in the Clinical-Community Psychology Psy.D. graduate program (APA Accredited). Her clinical training has focused on high risk populations primarily in correctional settings, and she has utilized treatments such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and relaxation techniques among patients. Among her graduate clinical training sites were the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Parole Outpatient Clinic, and Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center Partial Hospitalization Program. Her focused areas of interest include trauma, substance use disorders, criminal behaviors, and positive psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) Twin Towers Correctional Facility. Ms. Davis is now currently a graduate student assistant for Dr. Ermshar at Specialized Psychological Services.
